It's Just Like building a Bouquet

Anyone who knows me knows I adore flowers - and not in a cute way, I am a nightmare to take to places like Kew Gardens and will take a million pictures of seemingly identical leaves... However, maybe this attention and excitement for detail is all just part of the profile of someone who loves both data and creativity!

In true Becca-form of not liking to do things by halves, this passion has become more than just a hobby and I would in fact call it my side-hustle. Within this process I have build my website from scratch on Wix - Home | From the garden and delivered countless successful weddings and events across the country.

The process is similar to a UX project and begins with research: What is the client looking for? What is available? What are the costs? What are the time constraints? Then comes the refining and designing stages whilst continuing to draw on that user feedback and ensure suggestions are evoking all the appropriate feelings whilst continuing to be commercially priced.

I often sketch the bouquets and designs both to understand colours, shapes, and as a very light-weight prototyping tool which allows me to understand how many stems will be involved within arrangements and therefore what costs each design will incur.

From there delivery and feedback follow all the steps you would expect. The challenge more often than not, comes after the event when I must bleach buckets and tidy equipment away and I liken this to creating personal development plans and organising ones inbox; a necessary mundane task, which future you will thank you for!

The below gallery is an example of my work and sketches which may give you an additional impression to how my creativity manifests!
